I thought the peak of my career was founding an international film festival in 2020. Then I got
sick, moved to Thailand with my family during war, and discovered something fundamental about life
itself. This is the origin story of the filtering framework.
This was made for the people who followed me through the moves — from Israel to Thailand,
from film to research, from Hebrew to English. I'm sharing it here because it holds something true
regardless of who you are or how you found this page.
Cancer is not a biological error. It is a flawless execution of the six-step filtering loop
running under a shifted reference. The underlying law: persistence doesn't care who does the
work — only whose accounting closes.
The virus teaches us two things: how alive it actually is, and that the filtering loop can
split. The executor and the beneficiary don't have to be the same system.
A moment to take stock. A life definition that draws a sharp line between living and
non-living. And a six-step loop that defines the mechanism. This is where we stand.
A single bacterium with no brain moves directionally toward food. The mechanism is a
six-step filtering loop — the same loop that runs your immune system, your neurons,
and your attention right now.
We test the definition of life against viruses, protocells, cancer cells, fire, and AI.
If it fails even one case, it's wrong. If it holds across all of them — we have a life detector.
Take a man and let him watch his assumptions disintegrate. And if he is a stubborn thinker,
he will try to rebuild his understanding about life from first principles.
Life expends enormous energy just to continue existing — resisting entropy, filtering inputs,
persisting against constraint. Then we add more: nationality, religion, identity, status. Where
does that leave you?
A quiet reflection captured in the middle of the night, as the FUCSC framework began to take shape.
Life isn't defined by what we are made of — but by what we do with what we are made of.
If the four hallmarks of life operate exclusively in water, why does biology argue life
left the water? This contradiction started the entire research journey.
A couple of months ago I stopped publishing in Hebrew. Not because I don't speak it — but because
the language itself filters reality before you even think...
